To empower at-risk and disadvantaged youth through using entrepreneurship to teach students vital success skills to create opportunities for themselves and others. Other organizations may simply teach a student to sell, identify a target market, and effectively run a business. The impact of such organizations therefore is limited to the students who go on to win competitions or create a successful company and leaving the majority unaffected. Recesspreneurs on the other hand goes the extra step to hone in on the students mentality and instill in them the skills they need to succeed whether or not they can create a profitable company.
The Non-Profit focuses on teaching students entrepreneurship through hands-on experience. Students learn entrepreneurship is a mentality and lifestyle, therefore business lessons applicable to their everyday life. Students will build their own companies, acquire leadership positions, create presentations, and learn to integrate their passions and life experiences into their businesses. Through a developed and proven curriculum, the students will be presented with regular challenges on the basis of intellect, character, emotion, team building and maturity.
Through various challenges and exposure to the unfamiliar, the students in this non-profit will grow and develop by understanding themselves. Students will learn to use past adversities and potential future challenges as tools of progression and growth. The program and mentors who volunteer will encourage students to create bonds that will eventually grow into a deeper, more familial connection.
Through this support system they will build each other and hold each other accountable for success. This program is made to inspire the students to inspire others and develop them into role models both for themselves and for their community, thereby effectively building and supporting each other as they improve upon their socioeconomic status.
